How to handle incomplete or interrupted tests?
Before the incubation has started:
When starting a test on the DAS the user can reset the data inserted (operator, layout definition, barcode, method) by pressing the Stop button on the DAS. (See also question 'How can I start a test?')
During incubation:
Once the incubation has started (Running status) and till just before the incubation is finished, the running measurement can be aborted by long pressing the Stop button (at least 10 seconds).
The system will be back to Idle.
2) Interrupted tests
If the DAS automatically aborts the incubation within 10 seconds from the start, check that the partial plate position on the grid matches the layout selection.
See below instructions from "How can I start a test?"
Note: In case of partial plate incubation with software 0.1.99 or higher, an additional check is performed to confirm that the block(s) has been placed in the correct grid position. When the partial plate position and/or size does not match the layout selection, the measurement will be aborted within the first 10 seconds of the run and the cups will be classified as “Not Active (NA)”. This function allows the user to reposition the plate as indicated in the “prepare” step 6.
6. Confirm the plate position on the grid - Deselect unused blocks
On the layout table, select the number and position of blocks to incubate. By default, the full plate is selected on the display. For block or partial plate incubation, select only the position(s) were the block(s) are placed. The incubation display is 180° rotated in comparison to the DAS heating grid. A01 well is located on the lower right corner of the plate. An example of a single block incubation on the right side of the grid is shown in Figure below:
